Hi!
I was wondering if it was possible to check validity of PHPSESSID
cookie without actually sending the user the new cookie if it is not
valid?
What I want is this:
1) user sends no cookie - no session started
2) user sends a valid PHPSESSID cookie - session started
3) user sends an invalid PHPSESSID cookie - no session started.

It's funny how simply setting out the problem helps focus your mind, as so
often happens I have sorted this problem.And you dont get as many funny
looks as you do if you talk to yourself.
I was getting too complicated and simply finding all of the open lkines and
renumbering them all worked fine.

Write a wrapper function for creating a javascript variable e.g.
print "<script> var content=''";
$html=file('htmlfile.html');
foreach ($html as $line) {
print "content+='" . $line . "\\n';\n";
print "</script>";
- note you're also going to have to think about how you deal with
quotes inside the code you're assigning to the variable.

That's interesting. Not sure how true it is though...or to what
degree. I'll check that out when I get a chance.
However my philosophy is to develop websites for people...not robots.
If the website has quality content then the visitors will come.

My understanding is that Google are liable to "mark down" pages where
there is a substantial difference between content seen by the "normal"
user with JS and by Google's robots which see the <noscript> content - I
have read suggestions that "display: none" is a technique that is
particularly disfavoured.

Would it not be easier to hide the text that you dont want to be seen
using css (display:none) by wrapping the text in a div and then use
the javascript onlcick to change the display to block when the user
clicks on it?

well I don't know the specifications, but this sonds as a strange way to do
things, but anyway.
I think the new line comes from the htm file itself.
You can try to read the file into a varible and then use the trim() function to
remvoe the newlines.

Argh, not really - posted too soon. :(
It won't work, result object is only available for usual SQL
statements, not for prepared statements.
I would appreciate some pointers. I have successfully built the DB
layer using direct MySQL statements, but... There must be a better
way. Anyone?
This MySQLi extension is such a mess... :(

contain just digits through mysql_real_escape_string() then there is
